Change is in the air…
Dear All: Over the next few weeks, you will begin to see small but noticeable changes to the blog…These changes are a result of several factors – most importantly, my increasing involvement with events and activities on the ground (“offline”) and my intense travel schedule over the next several months (and possibly foreseeable future)…I have also been thinking very hard about how to increase interaction with readers on topics of critical importance (policies as well as situation analyses)…You will begin to see more of “Live Chats”, Skype conference calls and other means to increase communication…(watch out for an interesting feature announcement early next week).
I will also comment less frequently on the blog than I used to. I am very proud of the fact that over the last 6+ years that the blog has been running, I have found time to comment and engage with the commentators; Sadly my other activities now leave me with less time to do that..I hope to compensate by having more of voice chats and more interactive features..
I will continue to try and read every comment that is posted but may not be able to respond to as many as I would have liked to (and as quickly as I would like to). All the time thus freed will go towards doing more activities (and following up) in the physical world (as compared to online).
The facebook page is likely to become the major focus of online activities – given its built-in interactivity and rich featues to organise virtual events/chats. I will do my best to post content on the page as well as the blog but short snippets may not find their way into the blog…(tweets will continue to appear on the top right-hand side of the blog).
My aim with the || Satyameva Jayate || page is to make it the largest community on facebook representing nationalist Indians who are fed up with the current political system and are willing to work for and support real, fundamental change. The page should become the starting point of a political movement to “Reclaim India“.
Please do share the page link with your friends and acquaintances. Thanks entirely to your efforts, we should cross the 3000+ mark before the first anniversary. This is a small but significant step…I now need your help to take it to 30,000+ before end of 2011 and then beyond.
Although the posting frequency on the blog is likely to reduce over the next few months, I hope the content continues to remain thought-provoking and readable. In all these efforts, I will continue to depend a lot on your loyal readership…and your staying alert to make me aware of anything odd, noteworthy – or indeed news-worthy. Thanks and stay tuned.
Jai Hind, Jai Bharat!
Good work, Shantanu. Keep going…
